Shatavari, also known as wild asparagus is mentioned as one under the six important rasayanas in Ayurveda. A multi-façade tonic which is extensively used in traditional Ayurveda to support and enhance reproductive health, shatavari grows not only in India` but also Africa and Australia. The tonic is particularly known for its use as reproductive aid. It is also aptly called “a women’s best friend” as it supports and helps in keeping the optimum levels of the various female reproductive hormones and also helps to reduce pains during the menstrual cycle. It greatly helps women cope up gracefully with the hormonal imbalances during the menstrual cycle.
